Participants will receive instruction on how to understand the feedback their camera provides and how to use that to adjust settings manually to get the photos they want. We’ll talk about the mechanics of the camera and about natural light conditions. Participants will practice techniques so that they're able to continue to learn from their cameras and themselves beyond the bounds of this workshop and to develop their own unique style.
The workshop is four hours long, split into two sessions - Saturday, October 5th, 10 am - Noon and Saturday, Oct 12th 10 am - Noon. The workshop is targeted to beginner/advanced beginners- those who have bought or have been given a DSLR camera but don't feel like they understand the settings well enough to use fully manual settings, even though the photos they have in mind to take would greatly benefit by them having full control over ISO, aperture, and shutter speed.
Please bring your DSLR camera, a memory card and a fresh battery or two.
